Samtengang Trek

Duration: 4 days / 3 Nights.
Maximum Elevation: 1500m.
Nature of the trek: Short and easy trek.
Best season: April, September-November.

Samtengang Winter Trek is a low altitude trek north of Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. It is also the easiest low altitude treks in Bhutan. There are several attractive villages along the route which are used as camps.

Day1: Punakha (1280m) to Limbukha (2220m).
          Distance: 9km, Time: 4 hours.

Day 2: Limbukha (2220m) to Chungsakha (1850m).
          Distance: 10km, Time: 4-5 hours.

Day 3: Chungsakha (1850m) to Samtengang (2050m).
          Distance: 4km, Time: 2-3 hours.

Day 4: Samtengang (2050m) to Chuzomsa (1600m).
          Distance: 4km, Time: 2 hours.
