Laya – Gasa Trek is often considered as an extension of the Jhomolhari trek. This particular trek introduces to the unusual culture of the Layap people; it also takes through the diverse terrain and mountain villages down to Gasa.
Day 1: Drukgyel Dzong, Paro (2580m) to Shana (2890m).
Distance: 15km, Time: 5hours.
Day 2: Shana (2980) to Soi-Thangthangka (3575m).
Distance: 16km, Time: 8hours.
Day 3: Soi-Thangthangka (3757) to Jangothang (Jhomolhari camp), (4044m).
Distance: 11km, Time: 4hours.
Day 4: Rest day at Jhomolhari camp (Jangothang), (4044m).
Day 5: Jangothang (4044m) to Lingshi (4370m).
Distance: 12km, Time: 5-6hours.
Day 6: Lingshi (4370m) to Chebisa (3880m).
Distance: 10km, Time: 5-6 hours.
Day 7: Chebisa (3880m) to Shomuthang (4220m).
Distance: 17km, Time: 6-7 hours.
Day 8: Shomuthang (4220m) to Robluthang (4160m).
