Jhomolhari Trek 1

Best Season: April-June, September-November.

Jhomolhari Trek is Bhutan’s one of the most popular trek that offers the most spectacular views of the 7314m high Jhomolhari Mountain from a high camp at Jangothang.
The chance to trek to the base of the impressive Jhomolhari Mountain, the beautiful campsite and the amazing views of Jichu Drakey, Tshering -Gang, Masang-Gang are the other reasons why this trek deserves its reputation.

Day 1: Drukgyel Dzong, Paro (2580m) to Shana (2890m).
          Distance: 15km, Time: 5hours.

Day 2: Shana (2980) to Soi-Thangthangka (3575m).
          Distance: 16km, Time: 8hours.

Day 3: Soi-Thangthangka (3757) to Jangothang (Jhomolhari camp), (4044m).
          Distance: 11km, Time: 4hours.

Day 4: Rest day at Jhomolhari camp (Jangothang), (4044m).

Day 5: Jhomolhari camp (jangothang), (4044m) to Soi Yaktsa (3730m).
          Distance: 11km, Time: 6hours.

Day 6: Soi Yaktsa (3730m) to Thombu –Shong (4070m).
          Distance: 11km, Time: 6hours.

Day 7: Thombu-Shong (4070m) to Shana (2890m).
          Distance: 12km, Time: 7hours.

Day 8: Shana (2890m) to Drukgyel Dzong, Paro (2580m).
           Distance: 10km, Time: 2-3hours.
