Gangtey Trek

Duration: 3 Days / 2 Nights.
Maximum Elevation: 3438m.
Nature of the trek: Short and easy trek.
Best Season: March-May, September-November.

Gangtey Trek is a short trek and it is relatively low elevations. it is typical glacial u-shaped valley. Black naked cranes congregate here in Phobjikha valley when they migrate from Tibet in mid November.

Day 1: Phobjikha valley (2860) to Zasa (3140m).
          Distance: 14km, Time: 5-6hours.

Day 2: Zasa (3140m) to Chorten Karpo (2720m).
          Distance: 15km, Time: 5-6hours.

Day 3: Chorten Karpo (2720m) to Tikke Zampa (1555m).
           Distance: 10km, Time: 4-5hours.
