Tour Payment
Tourism Tariff
The Royal Government of Bhutan Tourism Policy requires all tours to the kingdom to be in the form of package tour and the tourist tariff is fully regulated by the Government. Back packers are not allowed and all the tour has to be routed through licensed tour operators of Bhutan.
General Tourist Tariff:
- US$ 200 per night per person (Peak Season- Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr., May, Jun., Sep., Oct., Nov. & Dec.)
- US$ 165 per night per person (Lean Season- Jul. & Aug.)
Government Surcharge (for group of less than two people):
- Individual: US$ 40/night/person
- Group of Two: US$ 30/night/person
Discount on tours:
- One person in group of 16 or more will receive a free trip
- One person in a group of 11-15 will receive 50% discount
- Students up to 20 years of age will receive 25% discount
- Children between 5 to 12 years will receive 50% discount
- No charge for children below the age of 4.
- Diplomats from foreign embassies/missions accredited to Bhutan shall be given 25% discount on the daily rates.
Tour cost includes:
- All Bhutan Government Taxes
- Hotel on twin sharing basis
- All meals
- Mineral water
- Transport (4X4)
- English Speaking Local Guide
- Museum and Entry Fees where necessary
- All trekking Equipments (not sleeping bag and mattress), trekking staff and horses
Tour cost does not include:
- Airfare and related taxes
- Bhutan visa fee 20US$ per person
- Travel Insurance
- Alcoholic beverages and soft drink
- Accommodation in recently opened UMA and AMAN KORA resorts.
Cancellations
Tour programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to following cancellation charges:
- Within 30 days of the start No charge
- Within 21 days of the start 10 percent of the rate
- Within 14 days of the start 15 percent of the rate
- Within 7 days of the start 30 percent of the rate
- Less than 7 days or cancellation
with out notice: 50 percent of the rate - After arrival in the kingdom 100 percent
Tour payment
As per the Rules and Regulations of the Royal Government of Bhutan, all the tour payment should be deposited before the visa can be processed as VISA is cleared by the Government subject to advance payment only.
